Using Bi-directional Couplers to Reconstruct a Radio Signal

We need to observe an unknown transmitted signal coming out of a Software-Defined Radio. We do this by inserting a probe between the radio and its antenna. The primary problem antenna itself can reflect the signal and pick up interference, but these unwanted signals can be filtered out with the use of a special probe: a bidirectional coupler.
